There will be three choices: Donate Now, Donate Monthly, and Donate Securities. Click on Donate Securities and follow the directions. There will be a Letter of Direction template for you to download and forward to your broker. Your broker will send the securities to Canada Helps who will sell the shares and forward the proceeds to the LPPS. This is a wonderful way to support LPPS and enjoy tax savings at the same time. The benefit of donating shares is that no capital gains tax is incurred. An official tax receipt is issued for the full value of the securities.
