Lighthouse Park  Preservation Society Highlights

A big part of what we do as environmental stewards of the Six-Park Network (Lighthouse Park and five nearby parks) focuses on removal of invasive plants and restoration planting. For the first ten years since our Society was formed, our volunteers worked exclusively in Lighthouse Park. Since January 2008, when we started working in the other five parks, our volunteers have contributed approximately 4660 hours of hands-on work as follows (data up to September 2013): Lighthouse Park (1560), Caulfeild Park (1610 hours), North Piccadilly Park (860), The Dale Park (340), Trails Park (190), and Klootchman Park (100). Many thanks to our volunteers for this impressive effort and what it has achieved!
